DIK can assist Rotary Clubs by providing goods to be repurposed for a wide array of local community projects.
These projects can be in many different areas, providing aid to any of:
- Homeless
- Refugees
- Indigineous community
- Victims of domestic violence
- Mental Health
- School Litteracy and book distribution
Clubs have access to the available goods at Donations in Kind. This is a major asset for clubs, enabling them to initiate a Community Service project based on repurposing these goods. Clubs can be involved in collecting donated goods and distributing them to their nominated project or local charity. These projects are attractive to clubs that are unable to fund international container projects as costs for local projects can be significantly less.
DIK at West Footscray is the largest Rotary store in Australia, providing many diverse and interesting community service opportunities, especially for Victorian-based Rotary clubs.
